Once in a Lifetime (Les Heritiers, 2016, French w/subtitles) tells the story of a dedicated history teacher who is determined to give the best education she can to her pupils. However, overcoming their apathy is proving to be more difficult than she expected. She gives her multicultural classroom a unique assignment: a national competition on the theme of child victims of the Nazi concentration camps. Initially, the project is met with extreme resistance until something dramatically changes the students' attitudes. This film demonstrates the enduring impact of the Holocaust in transforming future generations.
